Ollie Wilkinson and the JOTA McLaren crew have been forced to withdraw from this weekend’s Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Sprint Cup outing at Magny-Cours, due to damage sustained by the #38 McLaren 720S GT3 during practice on Friday.
Despite the hard work and best efforts of the JOTA team to get back on the grid for the second Sprint Cup outing of the season in France, the damage caused issues not possible to rectify at the track.
Wilkinson and fellow McLaren Factory Driver Rob Bell will be back in action alongside team-mate Marvin Kirchhöfer for the next round of the series’ Endurance Cup and the 1000km at Circuit Paul Ricard next month.
